For over 100 years, the Yirsa farm has been in the family, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th generations are striving for excellence! Currently, we are focused on marketing our incredible honey.
In 2017, Yirsa Farms' single species honey produced from our hairy vetch blossoms brought home 1st place honors from the Apimondia Congress.
The 2017 Apimondia gathering was held in Istanbul, Turkey and was host to 13,000 participants from 128 countries with 350 exhibitors. The honey show which is held once every 2 years had 170 countries registered in the contest, and the Turkish organizers received 400 honey samples from all around the world. The 1st place for granulated honey was awarded to Yirsa Farms' apiarist, Jim Savoy. It is a fantastic award and we are excited to offer this very same honey to our customers!
