You never know when inspiration will strike.

I found my inspiration while on a family trip to Denmark when I spotted the most beautiful, illuminated image in a shop window.

The photo captured my attention and I found myself thinking I wanted one for my home. I learned the technology behind the image is called a lightbox. I thought this could be a really unique way to enjoy my favorite pictures. I wanted to free the photos that have been “locked away” on my devices and turn them into beautiful works of art.

After considerable research, I found the one company in North America that makes best in class commercial lightboxes. Together, we spent months working to develop a lightbox system that would allow for the photos to be easily changed so different pictures could be displayed over time. When we completed the final prototype using my family's picture, I knew we had created something very special.
