Hi, I'm Joanne, but you can call me Jo :)

Hailing from near Birmingham in the UK, I’m an almost 30-year-old mom to one little boy and five (yes, five!) fur-babies. By day, I’m a hairstylist and hair extensions specialist; by night (or any free moment I get, in fact), I’m working on the blog, writing and sharing content such as product reviews, routines, and advice on hair, skincare, and makeup.

I started writing Joannesherrell.com in 2015. Unfortunately, due to some personal issues, I gave up my blogging venture. All of my hard work gone in the click of a button.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last few years, it’s that if you’re feeling overwhelmed, learn to take a break rather than giving up.

In 2020, amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, when working was off the cards and staying home was the new going out, I decided to relaunch the blog. And thus, Joannesherrell.com was reborn.
