Bio

Ida Hay is a multifaceted visual artist, originally Swedish/Norwegian but based in Vancouver, Canada since 2017. Graduating in September 2020 with a Bachelor of Design in graphic design, Ida started drawing when she was old enough to hold a pen and has not stopped yet. Other than creating conceptual branding preferably with personality, quirkiness and colour explosions involved, she loves creating portraits both digitally and with analogue tools — the more the merrier. She would love to find other creators to collaborate with, for example photographers, animators or models to name a few. Other than the colourful world she finds herself in on the daily due to her extremely sensitive colour perception, she is also drawn to what in pop culture often is referred to as the "dark side": witchcraft, death and goth culture to name a few of the things intriguing her. Inspiration can be found there, in art-, design- and fashion history and modern pop culture as well. She juggles all of these interests and influences next to also being a surrogate mother to a Hungarian Vizsla and 30 chickens.
