Bio

I'm the founder and CEO of Traveling Stories .... a nonprofit organization that empowers kids to outsmart poverty by helping them fall in love with reading by the 4th grade.

We're a small team that kicks butt. Every day we give our all to join these kids in their fight against poverty. Our programs serve 3,000 kids in California every year. With your help, we can serve even more.

Research shows that reading habits have more influence on a child's attainment than their socio-economic status or having a parent with a degree. Kids who can't read well by the 4th grade (which is two out of every three kids in the U.S.) are at a much higher risk of dropping out, participating in dangerous activities, and being incarcerated.
