Bio

My name is Colby and I became a stay-at-home dad back in December 2012. My time in the corporate world was met with an untimely end, so we decided it was time I started to work for myself. “We” means both my wife, Staci, and myself.

We were high school sweethearts and have been married for almost 24 years now. Together, we have 5 children (4 daughters and 1 son), as well as a son-in-law.

My wife has been an accomplished blogger for over 10 years now. Staci is my best friend and, in addition to being incredibly smart and strong-willed, she is passionate about her family and her work. Together, we work hard, yet smart, and play even harder with our family.

We have great kids and they are everything to us. They range in age from 8 to 22. Our oldest daughter is married and graduating from college soon. Each one of the kids brings a fun and unique personality to our family dynamic. Read more about each of them here.

We named my blog “Days of a Domestic Dad” because I focus on how I live life as a domestic dad. I cook, clean, care for the kids and more. Our gender roles have a very thin line and we look at family chores as a group project rather than individual task. Of course, we enjoy testing new products, driving a variety of cars, and traveling whenever we can, so you can read about those topics too while you’re on my site.
