Bio

Hello! I am the Founder & Creative Director of Lily & Val, a gift and lifestyle brand and author of the best-selling book, The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering. I hand letter and illustrate each product we offer.

My philosophy is that the smallest things are the most important things: a cup of tea and conversation, a handwritten note, a few words transforming a room into a cozy space, an illustration that makes you smile.

My personal brand focuses on sharing my hand lettering, illustrations, and process, as well as everyday, city life with my husband and first baby on the way. I enjoy sharing simple, ordinary pleasures, topics that capture my nostalgia and sentimentality, and encouragement to slow down and live creatively.

My audience loves hearing recommendations about brands that I use and engage with. I am constantly getting comments and messages inquiring about items that appear in my photos in order to find the source. I love sharing these recommendations and connecting with my audience over brands and products that I am passionate about.
