Bio

Hi everyone, my name is Lauren Willis I am currently a grad student getting my masters in nutrition and human performance. I am also a wife to my loving/ supportive husband of one year and a mom to a 5-year-old Pembroke Welsh corgi. I currently live in Spokane Washington; however, I've lived in Seattle and Missoula, Montana.
Ever since I was young, I've been a lover of food. It didn't matter if it was fast, unhealthy or healthy food, I loved it all. It wasn't until my late twenties that I began to worry about what I was eating. I was diagnosed with multiple food intolerances and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). I have been dealing with gut issues now for almost four years, and I feel like just now I'm beginning to figure out how to eat and heal my body.
Eating a diet that doesn't contain, gluten, dairy, eggs, almonds, yeast, cranberries, blueberries, pineapple, bananas, corn, and some nightshades can be tough and expensive. However, my hope is to inspire you all to see your meals as fuel or medicine to heal your body and not as a means of emotional support or a way to pass the time. I also hope that I can create a community that is open to everyone who wants to provide healthy meals for their families, heal their bodies with food and nontoxic products and most importantly to find the remedy that works for you.
