Sydney is an entrepreneur, nonprofit professional, and motivational speaker. She is dedicated to supporting non-technical entrepreneurs, helping them launch their first successful mobile app with her startup Tequity. Since Launching in April 2020, Tequity has had 541 apps developed on the platform, supports 54,000 users and received a $3.3M valuation at year end. Recent recognition and accolades include one of 30 Influential Women Advancing AI in 2020, won numerous pitch competitions that include Black Women Talk Tech + Shea Moisture Pitch, Harlem Capital and Forbes More Equity pitch, recently Essence + Target Accelerator pitch as well as a startup participant in Techstars + Barclays Accelerator. Sydney brings 10 years of experience spanning engineering, arts, consulting, project management, and computer programming.
