Two Dogs In A Van
Content featuring @wilderdog
Reggie and I are both such sensitive souls. I think that’s why we bonded so intensely.
.
I don’t think I realized how tired we both were after this year of constant travel until our heads hit our pillows the first night after we moved in to the new house we’re renting. More so than my husband, or Redwood, Reggie and I were tired right down to our foundation. We have found so much sanctuary in stillness these last few days.
.
It has been a bittersweet couple of weeks moving out of the van. All full of reflection, gratitude, adjustments and feeling.
.
And for once our lives, more than adventure, more than endless highway miles or waves or mountains or ambitious projects- we just want to walk slowly out our front door and to close our eyes and breathe in the salt and the smell of cedar and feel the sun wash over us. The goal has never been perfection. It has always been peace. And I think we may just have found it here.
