About

Hi. My name is Scot. I am 45 years old, a little bit OCD, and about the last guy you’d expect to be a founder of this company.

It all began with my annual physical in early 2018. I was dealing with a lot of stress in my job as the head of a technology startup. My blood pressure was high for the first time in my life, and I was getting fat(er).

I asked my doctor about it. I think I said something like “I’m under a lot of stress right now, but I don’t want another pill to take every day. What do you recommend?”

I expected her to tell me to exercise more. Breathe slowly. Meditate. Spend more time outside. Take a vacation. :palm_tree:

She looked at me for a minute, and then went and got a chart. I about fell off the table when I saw it was some kind of cannabis family pie chart. She covered up the medical marijuana part and told me about something called CBD that occurs naturally in hemp extract.

I couldn’t believe it. I drink more than I should sometimes, and eat junk food, but that’s about the extent of my vices. I paid attention to Nancy Reagan and my 7th grade Health teacher - I have never done recreational drugs or been a smoker.

She assured me it was all natural, and wouldn’t have any negative interactions with the prescription medication I was already grudgingly taking for allergies and my heart. She shared that there were a lot of benefits to be derived from hemp, and that it wasn’t the same thing as using marijuana, despite the stigma.

I was unconvinced.

So what did I do? I went home and researched it. Exhaustively. I even asked people around the office if they’d ever heard of it. Imagine my surprise when one of my employees produced a small vial of it and said he’d been using it forever.
Based on my research and informal survey, I decided to give it a try.

So I did. And guess what I felt after a few days of taking it?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I didn’t feel high, or overly mellow, or altered in any other way. I was still happy, sad, angry...”all the feels” as the kids say these days.

You know what else I didn’t feel? The crushing pressure. The rock-solid knots that formed in my shoulders. Yeah...there was stress, but it was more manageable.

It was exactly what I needed. Exactly what I wanted.

It invisibly, unobtrusively made my life less bad. I suppose I should say it made it more good. It allowed me to be less consumed by the stress, and appreciate other things, like the fact that I live in paradise (South Florida) and am married to the woman of my dreams.

And that’s Real Good.

It’s so good, I had to share it. I knew there were other people out there like me. People who would never take a product that was even distantly related to the plant that produces marijuana. People who have corporate jobs, and don’t want to fail a drug test because of a supplement they’re taking. People who have never been high, and don’t want to be.

Maybe you’re one of them.

That’s why I reached out to Mike and Rick to rope them into forming Real Good LLC. Sure there’s a lot of noise about the benefits of the cannabis plants, but that was all potheads looking for a way to legally get high, right?

Turns out, that’s not the case.

So we built RealGoodHemp.com. It’s a website where we sift through all the garbage out there and find the stuff that’s good enough for us and our families. Stuff that’s got lab certification and has a good reputation. Stuff we’d take. And we share it with you.

Don’t take my word for it. Do your own research. If you decide that hemp extract is right for you, we’d appreciate you visiting us at RealGoodHemp.com. If you think we’re missing something that you’d like to try, let us know. I can’t promise that we’ll carry it, but it never hurts to ask.

Thanks for reading, and have a Real Good day! :sunny:
