AJ is a Stone Mountain, Georgia native and graduate of Howard University where she majored in Broadcast News. Her career went in a different direction when she moved to Houston, Texas as a Teach for America Corps member. During the beginning of her teaching career she was crowned Miss Black Texas 2009. AJ's passion and niche is reading. She subsequently started an Instagram account, @readingwithglamour where she shares book reviews and post book features and book reels. AJ is a literary influencer whose mission is to encourage and inspire others to read books. Through this platform, AJ has been afforded the opportunity to promote various brands and products, all while promoting literature.
