Bio

2017 marked a defining year for me. I faced one of the toughest challenges I will ever face. An Ironman. But this isn’t the first challenge I have endured; I have come back from a broken back (2001), cervical carcinoma (2007) and bacterial meningitis (2010). The road to recovery was long and filled with obstacles and depression. However, I knew I could do this. I knew it was challenge I wanted to take on to inspire others and prove to myself that illness and injury doesn’t confine or define you. The journey was long. There were big highs and even bigger lows. Miles were clocked up; in the pool, on the bike and on the road... I cried I don’t know how many times to get that finish line. And all that’s stood between me and that finish line was confidence, self worth and belief.

Today, I'm a GB qualified age group triathlete for middle distance and Aquabike and will be competing at the the 2018 Ironman 70.3 World Champs in SA and the ETU Champs in Ibiza.
