Leatherwork is among the oldest stories of human ingenuity, a craft over which complete mastery is still tirelessly pursued. Fascinated by the exquisite expressions of this living, breathing material, Faisal Mohamed dedicated hours of study to the traditional techniques of the trade.

These he translates into the PESAKRAF label founded in 2012. At his atelier in Puchong, a space of serenity and inspiration overlooking a small lake, he works specially-sourced leather by hand and with both traditional and modern tools as well as age-old methods and techniques to create evocative, contemporary leather goods.

Suppleness, softness, structure – desired traits are expressed across a range of accessories, from watch straps and slim wallets to passport and phone sleeves. Each product is laboured over individually, with special attention to detail at every stage of production.

Born from passion and perfected through dedication, PESAKRAF aims to deliver products that are enduring in design and construction. From the sourcing of materials and tools used to the superiority of the final product, leather goods that bear the PESAKRAF label are equal in quality to those crafted by the finest of luxury houses.

Hours of labour are poured into every piece to achieve the details that distinguish fine leatherwork. Pieces are bound by intricate saddle stitching, sewn and finished by the hands of a single craftsman to ensure quality and durability.
