From a very early age, I learned that service and attention to detail were vital to running a successful business. Working alongside my father, a now-retired electrician, I learned the value of developing lifelong relationships with clients that was built on mutual trust and respect.
During my twenties and early thirties, I spent my time working in retail management. I provided sales and customer service coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; It was also my responsibility to plan, monitor, and appraising employee and sales results. In each position, I closely monitored and achieved high levels of financial objectives.
Later in my career trajectory, I began dedicating my work and volunteer time with schools and non-profit organizations. I used my customer service and research skills to help raise financing for worthy programs that were focused on giving back to the community. My friends and family recognize me as the “go to” person for writing and research projects, of all sizes. During this time, my volunteer work also gave me the spark needed to finish my education and start learning including a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in special education.
Then in 2005, I developed my non-profit Oak Tree Academy, which provides advocacy to children with learning disabilities and increases awareness of the needs of those children in the community. I also help my husband by creating strategy-specific business plans to help his business continue its upward growth. Her expertise has increased sales by 250% over the last five years.
Today I strive to help businesses, non-profits and individuals reach their goals while making a positive impact on my community.
