The name, NOHSO, is an acronym of the Portuguese word for dream, which is what this journey has been for me.
The new project reinforces the dream: sharing a small premium space in Lisbon with other artisans, artists, Portuguese brands, owners of new ideas, etc...
The space is small, and has been totally refurbished. The objective is to have a good looking place, comfortable and flexible to accommodate different types of business. With 3 shop windows we can host 1 brand or a group of brands.
Before the first clients show up and in between clients I have the great pleasure to occupy the space with the Nohso arraiolos tapestries.
I designed each one of the tapestries to fulfill my imagination and excite yours, hopping to energize many homes with joyous feelings.
Arraiolos is the name of the specific technique of stitching the traditional Portuguese needlepoint rugs. It uses a long-armed cross stitch done in sheep wool thread on fabric which can be jute or linen.
