I am the founder of VOICES and the NWA Womens Empowerment workshops... a secret group for women only that have been or are in abusive situations. This is meant to empower and strengthen self esteem, awareness, have open discussions without fear. I also work full time as a legal assistant.Painting as therapy from sexual assault quickly turned into something more and today I Share my passion for painting teaching classes for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors through workshops called “Paint your Power”. I have also taught painting classes at the new Bentonville Community Center and Hobbs State Park and Hobby Lobby and have a DVD sold on Amazon.
My desire is being able to teach others to use their creativity and stimulate a passion for other areas of their lives. Many of the paintings I have done are donated to non profits benefiting the Women’s Shelter and other nonprofits, and I enjoys working on various commissioned pieces from contemporary to traditional landscapes. Typically, I work with acrylics, but love to play with oils, watercolor and spray paint graffiti art.
Feeling extremely blessed to be able to pursue my passion;I pay it forward by volunteering as a Women's Empowerment Specialist focusing on counseling, self esteem building, advocacy, education, art therapy, self defense and community awareness supporting the Women Shelter, Rape Crisis Center, Havenwood House, Souls Harbor, Womens Shelter, Peace at Home and NWA Battle mens minor league football team and Cricket for America as volunteer program director.
I am available as a motivational speaker on issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, athletics, education, community empowerment, diversity, life skills and Health and Wellness.
