Bio

Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, and a Minister of the Gospel. MonaLisa has held positions in corporate offices such as BankOne/Chase, Administration for the City Of Austin, Austin Police Recruiting Department, and served as an Emergency 911 dispatcher. MonaLisa has worked with nonprofit organizations such as Relief Enterprise an organization that helps disabled people find work and CureQuest, Inc. an organization that assists blood cancer survivors after diagnosis.
In 2000, MonaLisa started Events by MonaLisa an event planning business. Then later started managing, styling, and consulting for clothing stores such as J.Crew and Whitehouse Black Market. By 2005, MonaLisa had a corporation that could plan events, decorate and style all at the client’s request. In 2009, MonaLisa changed the name of the business to Style Architect Image Consulting Group. MonaLisa has extended the profile of the business with Marketing and Advertising based on her position and expertise with The Design Factory, marketing, advertising, and design agency.
In 2010, MonaLisa was diagnosed with Leukemia. Having gone through such a traumatic experience with no knowledge about the disease and lack of support with living conditions, she was eager to help and do more for herself and the community. So, that same year, while in remission, she formed an organization named CureQuest, Inc. This is an organization that is a resource for blood cancer survivors in their recovery stages. After a diagnosis of cancer, families are in distress about bills and how they are to pay for prescriptions. CureQuest, Inc gives families resources and information on how to relieve these burdens and press to regroup and LIVE!
In 2011, still in recovery, MonaLisa accepted her call in ministry. MonaLisa became a minister attending Theology courses from Howard Thurman Bible Institute at Friendshipwest Baptist Church, she began preaching and teaching at The Harvest Ministries located at SouthSide on Lamar in Dallas Tx. MonaLisa is the mother of four boys. The third son was killed in 2005 at the age of 6 years old. MonaLisa is married to Gary Monroe. MonaLisa has a lot of favorite quotes but the phrase she lives by is “Faith without works is dead.”
