Bio

For some, traveling is about finding yourself. For Annette,
traveling is about leaving behind what she is not. There are no
limits to her travels, except that for every trip, only one carry-on
weighing less than 7 kg is allowed. Bringing less allows her to be
fully present and spontaneous while teaching her to consume in a
sustainable fashion. Everything she brings along is of top quality
and serves a purpose. This philosophy also applies when she is not
on the road. Annette invites people to own less and to own better,
to travel more and to bring less.

Annette backpacked through Costa Rica for the first time when
she was 15. Every year, for the next ten years, she went back to
the Guanacaste Peninsula. Also, during this time, her summers
were spent exploring Europe. Today, she has visited over 30
countries in search of adrenaline rushes, bucket list
accommodations and culinary experiences. Annette doesn’t
travel to be on vacation, she travels to challenge herself;
personal growth begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Her personal objective? Three new countries every year.
