About the Designer:
Tracie L. Douglas wears many hats. She is a dedicated daughter, tenacious military spouse, modish designer, and Ph.D. holder. More than anything else, she strives to be the epitome of the unrealized dreams of her mother.

This is most evident in her stylish shoe line LubertaJames LLC, where she is the sole owner, chief creative, and designer. Born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Douglas hails from a military home. Her father, James Kegler, was a diligent member of the United States Air Force, where he served dauntlessly for 20 years. Her mother, Luberta Kegler, was a military wife who harbored a burning passion for design and fashion. However, she made the noble choice of forgoing the pursuit of her dreams, opting instead to focus on being an exemplary wife and mother to Tracie and her four siblings. Her unconditional love of family went on to extend to her grandchildren, ultimately spilling over into her community.

Tracie holds no qualms about boasting that her shoe line was created in honor of her parents. LubertaJames LLC is a creative amalgamation of her father's dedication and her mother's love of fashion. Most importantly, this brand aims to honor and solidify its legacy. Every pair of LubertaJames shoes epitomizes all the love and support her parents gave their children, grandchildren, and the broader community. Tracie never misses a moment to let the world know that she would not be the diligent worker or style maven she is today if not for the love of her family.

When she isn't busy designing shoes, Tracie is an Acquisition Specialist with experience in cost and price analysis and supply chain management for the federal government. She has also served her country as a Department of Defense employee for two decades. Additionally, Tracie holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management with a specialization in Human Resources. With all these many flames to stoke, she still carves out the time to do weekly inspiration intertwined with fashion on her social media platforms ‘The ‘Sole’ of Tracie."

Each design is custom handmade by a master Italian craftsman using pure Italian leather, located in Le Marche, Italy. The Shoe Valley, as it is popularly called, is where 100 years ago, modern shoe making was invented. It has been the oldest and most prominent shoe manufacturing district in the world since 1901.

LubertaJames LLC takes family passion and seamlessly fuses it with the culture and people Tracie experienced in her country alongside her husband. The design's aesthetics, right down to the packaging, are all thoroughly ideated and executed to tell a story buyers can wear with their heads held high with pride. Tracie excitedly brings wearers, love, legacy, and culture to the forefront, one pair of dazzling shoes at a time.

LubertaJames LLC has built an organization that will be responsible for helping to provide education assistance and job creation for military families and the extended community. The business enables military families to access educational assistance and better employment opportunities, essentially decreasing the poverty gap among service members.
