As a concerned grandmother, I heard that my grandson was being bullied in school. He had enough "smarts" to let his parents know. I thought to myself, how many children don't tell an adult in their lives? What happens to those children? Sometimes these kids don't tell anyone until it's too late and the bullying gets out of control - someone gets hurt or worse.
As an adult, I decided to write another book (I was actually in the middle of writing a book which will be considered a "beach read"). In the book "Max and the Meanies", Max gets bullied. There are instances where Max sees the Meanies get bullied themselves, and he realizes why they act the way they do.
Max and the Meanies is a book every child should read and have access to.
