Bio

Our Love Story began on the banks of the Mississippi River. It was love at first site when we met at a calligraphy convention in New Orleans. He was teaching and I was attending my very first convention. After a brief introduction we spent the first night walking and talking about everything and nothing. We explored the streets of the French Quarter and stayed up all night. As the sun began to rise he proclaimed, “I’m going to marry you” and 10 months later he did! Fast forward 10 years, he retired from his career as a calligrapher at the White House and we partnered to expand Just Write Studios to bring the best of calligraphy and design to the wedding market.

Your Love Story has a magic all its own, and we can’t wait to hear what makes yours unique! The more we get to know you, the better we can work together to craft the details of your wedding day. If you live out of the area or don’t have time to meet in person, that’s fine. We’ve mastered the art of getting to know you via Skype, emails and the occasional phone call. We work from a home studio conveniently located just outside of DC, but are happy to work with clients around the nation. What sets us apart is our attention to detail, our fast turnaround times, and our exceptional customer service. We can turn your ideas in to reality. We can make your dreams come to life.

We’re Rick and Jenny - and we’d love to fill a chapter of your Personal Story with beautiful lettering, paper goods and “day-of” details. Because for us, it all started with calligraphy. We love it, we live it and we can’t wait to share it with you!
