I'm one of the founding members of SKO.tv and also the name sake. For those really wanting to know where the Sko name originated from it's actually my Russian birth name shortened. My full birth name is Iosif Yakovich Skorohodov. I shortened it to Joe Sko for obvious reasons.
I come from an almost mytical but still legendary marketing background. I made my first buck from the Internet back in 1999 when forum sites we're the social media network of the day. Utilizing the power of those forums I made a "FUCK TON" of money. Since then I have realized and experience the true RAW monetary power of the Internet.
Some crazy marketing tactics and campaigns I have tried include but are definitely not limited to:
- Text messaging a very very large chunk of the 503 area code. Which obviously includes most everything in the Willamette Valley... Including Portland, but I got in hot water since I was not AT ALL aware of permission requirements set by non-profits. Opps.....
I thinks that's all I'll share for now. If you want to hear any other crazy marketing shenanigans I tried (and most likely failed= meaning no ROI) hit me up. It will def be a lesson in what NOT to do.:thumbsup:
