Bio

Hey! :wave: I'm Heather. In my past life, I was a doctor of physical therapy. With my (nerdy) engineer hubs, Dave, we built a blog and business from our mutual love of "all things home" i.e. DIY, design, real estate and home improvement.

In contrast to a neutral-loving, farmhouse landscape that currently abounds, our home and aesthetic is one of pattern and punchy colors.

We love working with brands whose products and services help enrich the lives of homeowners. As a home improvement/DIY and home decorating site, our goals are to empower people to create a home they love, at a price they can afford.

We aim to instill the confidence of our readers to tackle a new DIY project :hammer: , or create that Pinterest-worthy space that they’ve dreamed of.

Dave and I always put our best foot forward when it comes to establishing and maintaining relationships with companies we love. We will meet deadlines and clearly communicate with your brand before, during and after our collaborations to ensure we are meeting and exceeding your goals and expectations.

We are very Type A when it comes to the quality of our work, but quite Type B when it comes to writing with grammatical perfection (just being honest). We try to make our work relatable, engaging and fun.

Our writing is typically laced with 80’s rap lyrics and 90’s slang. We enjoy bad puns and cheesy jokes and enjoy throwing those into our work here, there and everywhere.
