I am an upcoming Artist and CEO of Gorilla Island Productions along with my partner Joe 'Yaddamean' Levy. Gorilla Island Productions is not only a record label but a production company as well where we specialize in video photography, producing, and mixing and mastering music. I now reside in Kansas City, Missouri but was born and raised in Gary, IN until the age of 18 and from there I moved to Denver, CO until the age of 34. From there I decided to moved to Phoenix, AZ where I lived there until I turned 37 and now here I am residing in KCMO. I started Gorilla Island Productions due to my baby brother Tyson Guss who at the time was 17 and wanted to pursue a career in the music field. At the time I was driving semi trucks and seeing/ hearing how the industry was I decided that it would be best if I managed him and developed him. The next day I went down to both Sam Ash and The Guitar Center where I purchased studio equipment and from there down to home Depot to buy everything I needed to build a recording booth. At first he was excited and I was working with him when it came to getting him to have his words flow with the beats we selected for his songs. While I was working on developing him I was also meeting up with other Artist, beat makers and producers to work with so I could build a team. After meeting and speaking with a lot of talented Artist I booked it down to four Artist that I liked who were all from different parts of the world and who all had there own unique style and identity. After some time with working with my baby brother he started to lose interest and hit a depression stage so once I saw this I decided that it would probably be best if I started back writing music myself.
