Bio

My name is Marshall and I am a Southern Gentleman transplanted to Orange County, California.

I am a US Army veteran, still serving in the reserve, and I have a Bachelor of Science in International Relations, as well as an MBA in finance. My undergraduate experience was at a Military Academy, and most of my adult life has been in the service in one form of another. While you may ask what wearing a uniform every day could have taught me about fashion, what it did teach me was to conduct myself as a gentleman. Or, rather, it filled in where the cotillions, my matriarchal grandmother, and my wonderful family left off.

I am a former editor of Cigar & Spirits Magazine and currently work for a fortune 500, transitioning from power suits and martinis, to seersucker and mint juleps, to military balls and cohibas, all within the same week.

I write on cigars, wine, fashion, whiskey, design, decor, literature, art, and style - all with my own particular point of view.
