Bio

I picked up painting years ago while working my first job out of college as a morning news anchor in Myrtle Beach. I worked crazy hours -- waking up at 3 a.m. to be on the air by 5. It was awesome and I'm so thankful for the opportunities I was given. But after several years of the long hours and tight deadlines, I was craving something new.

Art became a form of therapy for me -- a way to wind down after a stressful day. When friends and family started asking to buy my work, I began to realize I could make a career out of this.

Eventually my work was picked up by a local retailer. And then another and another. So after months of prayer and soul searching, the answer suddenly became so simple: it's time to move on. There's something better out there.

My journey has brought me to a place of authenticity that I never thought imaginable. The sun shines brighter, flowers smell prettier. My relationships are more meaningful and I'm more connected to God than ever.

I hope to inspire others to pursue what makes them come alive, and find joy and beauty in the journey along the way.

My signature style includes bold, broad brushstrokes and geometric patterns. You can find my paintings on display at several Charlotte area stores including Slate Interiors and Shop Revolution. Several new stores will be added to that list in late summer/early fall 2016, so stay tuned.
