Bio

My name is Padya Paramita. I’m 22 years old, from Bangladesh, currently living near Boston. The two biggest parts of my life are writing and food, and exploring these through intersectional and representative means. Part of the reason 2016 was a landmark year for me was that I started living in a sustainability cooperative (SCoop) at Wellesley College where I got a beautiful kitchen, even more wonderful friends and whole new world of ingredients and ideas to navigate and develop my love for food..

I hope to bring to light the many people in my life and beyond and their culinary views, books I’m reading and how they inspire me to eat/cook/travel, and how visuals of food contribute to different cultures and make a difference in strengthening identities. My goal is to be conscious as I eat and cook: of history, geography, impact and their intersections.
