Derion Lamar Alexander (/Der ee ˈɒn/; born June 14, 1995) is an American singer and songwriter. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he is an Alternative R&B artist who combines R&B, Hip-Hop, and Reggae styles into his work. Derion began creating music when he was 10 years old after his mother bought him his first microphone. Initially starting out as a rapper, he taught himself how to sing at the age of 12. In highschool Derion would often skip class to record music.

Early 2017 after positive feedback for his single 'Want U', Derion started recording songs to release a 5 track EP. Working with producers PDUB, Mantra, and The Beat Plug, Derion skillfully crafted songs that touched various subjects such as love, lust and heartbreak. His debut EP 'Genesis' was released on 11/14/2017
