About
Crowd Compass was born Summer 2023 at Shambhala Music Festival in British Columbia, Canada.
At the festival the year prior, Chris (founder/inventor) was unable to contact Colton due to overloaded cell towers and Colton not wanting to be on his phone. This sucked! We couldn't get together to get down on the dancefloor!
So Chris took it upon himself to solve this problem and unveiled a set of 10 prototype Crowd Compass devices to our friends.
Each night, one person chose to begin the game of collecting every friend across the festival. Without fail, all players were successfully united, every time. They worked when we wanted to find each other, collect each other, or even send alerts to each other.
We're now looking to make Crowd Compass available to festival goers for the 2024 season and beyond!
