Best Shark Apex Uplight Lift-Away Duoclean
If you are looking for a good vacuum cleaner to buy yet don’t know where to start, we bring good news!
According to our market data, one of the best stick vacuums on the market at the moment is the Shark APEX UpLight. It has received a lot of positive reviews from customers, praising it for its high performance and ergonomics design.
In our most recent vacuum review, we have decided to look deeper into this vacuum to see exactly why it’s so special. And we’re happy with what we saw!
Long story short, the Shark APEX UpLight’s price-to-value ratio is excellent. Though it can only be considered as a mid-range stick vacuum, its performance is high and the design is great. You can read our full review, including performance tests and scores through the link below.
But if you don’t have a lot of time, continue reading this post for all of the basic information.
In our performance tests, the Shark APEX UpLight performed exceptionally well on bare floors. Our testers didn’t run into any trouble at all while cleaning with it on hardwood. Its strong suction power can sweep up dust, dirt, debris, and even pet hair almost effortlessly.
The Shark APEX UpLight exhibited good performance on low-pile carpets. Test results are very similar to bare floors with the majority of all debris and pet hair cleaned.
However, when it comes to high-pile carpets, the vacuum was a bit behind. While it managed to suck up most of the debris and pet hair we strewn on our dense carpet, a few bits were still left behind.
So, if you intend to use the Shark APEX UpLight as a carpet cleaning vacuum, watch out for this quirk. This stick vacuum’s suction power also cannot be adjusted and the brush roll cannot be turned off. Both are huge flaws that you have to keep in mind before you purchase.
Regardless, its cleaning performance is great across the board and it will be able to satisfy most customers.
When it comes to design, our testers didn’t have much to complain about, either. The design is beautiful and the overall form of the vacuum is sleek. Its slim profile allows us to maneuver into tight spaces without becoming stuck.
One thing about the Shark APEX UpLight that is quite disappointing is that it is pretty heavy. At 11.2 pounds, it is heavier than most stick vacuums we tested. Fortunately, thanks to the ergonomics handle, you won’t feel much of this weight. The vacuum does a very good job at offsetting the weight away from the wrist of the user. Therefore, you won’t get tired or achy quickly while using it.
Cleaning range is good with a 30 feet power cord. The dust cup is pretty small (but acceptable) with a capacity of 0.68 dry quarts up to the fill line.
If you have allergy sufferers in your family, the Shark APEX UpLight got you covered. It has Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology as well as HEPA filtration.
