Bio

Pakistani/American artist Aneesa Sheikh has a GRAMMY on her mind as she plans her takeover as the music industry’s newest pop princess. At 20 years old, the young artist has created a raw and honest pop sound, amassing over 100,000+ streams on Spotify, 100,000+ following on Instagram, and 74,000+ on TikTok. She has performed the National Anthem at the University of Michigan, SXSW, skating with the stars, in Times Square, and internationally.

Aneesa has created content for Quest Nutrition, Samsung mobile U.S., Warner Bros, GU, Swim outlet, Dean Guitars, Chinese Laundry, and more.

Born in Kentucky, and raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Aneesa has grown with her love of music. As a triple gold medalist in the United states figure skating Association, she grew up skating to various music genres. Her passion began at the age of 8 years old when she was inspired by her sister ice skating to Santana’s, “Black Magic Women ''. This inspired her to learn classical guitar and join her local youth choir. Aneesa never failed to take an opportunity to perform in front of others. At the age of 14, she began to write original music with her grandfather’s twelve-string guitar. And after being invited to perform on the “Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour” in Lexington, Aneesa became determined to turn her passion into a career. Upon winning a scholarship at IMTA (International Model and Talent Association) Convention in the summer of 2019, She released her debut single, “Bad Thing” in January of 2020. Her title of Miss Michigan Teen USA propelled her to take the stage singing at numerous events nationally. While attending the University of Michigan, where she sang the National Anthem for the sports team, she transitioned to remote education allowing her to perform internationally representing Pakistan at the largest growing international pageant.

Wanting to give back to the music community, Aneesa also runs Music4M.I.R.A.C.L.E., a non-profit she started after watching her father battle several health crises.

Making the move to NYC summer of 2022, Aneesa is thrilled to continue her journey as an artist. Currently working on several upcoming releases, the vibrant songwriter is embracing the opportunity to develop her sound as she takes influence from her growth and experiences. Aneesa’s newest performance was at the largest NYFW pop-up event in Times Square, NYC this past February, for the Indonesian designer clothing brand, ButtonScarves.
