All American Sapphire™

Americut Gems is a USA based company that cuts and polishes sapphires from the new Rock Creek mine in Montana. Because all of our sapphires are cut and polished in the US, we call our production the All American Sapphire™, mined, cut and polished in the USA. Our All American Sapphire™ is precision cut in all sizes from 2 mm+. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time sapphires in all sizes have been cut in the USA in commercial quantities.

Mined and Cut in the USA™

We do not send any of our mined rough overseas for processing. We are not dependent on low wage overseas labor because we have our own proprietary state of the art robotic cutting and polishing equipment, which we utilize, in all of our cutting and polishing operations. We believe we are the only gemstone cutting facility in North America that has the technology to do this and effectively compete with low wage offshore cutting.

Fair Trade

There are several advantages to producing gemstones with robotic technology in the USA. First, and perhaps most important, it means that Americut Gem's All American Sapphire™ may be one of the most environmentally friendly, fairly traded and otherwise transparent mine to market precious gemstone in the marketplace. We place a high value on this unique exceptionalism and are both proud and pleased to make it available to a public that is increasingly concerned about transparency, environmental stewardship and worker safety.

Robotic Technology

A second and very important advantage to producing gemstones with robotic technology is that the overall appearance of our precision cut polished sapphires, more often than not, look better than traditional hand cut sapphires. We are committed to making certain that each All American Sapphire™ exhibits a uniform, brilliant and superior face up appearance.

Custom Sapphire Faceting

We also use our technology to selectively cut and polish custom designs. This usually brings an element of uniqueness and interest to individual pieces, which they would not otherwise have. Some of these designs are of such complexity that they could not be done either easily or at all with traditional hand cutting methods.

We Value Our National Treasure

Our goal is to finish each stone to the highest level of perfection possible. We think this is important, in part, because sapphire is the only precious gemstone that is mined in the USA in commercial quantities. It is for this reason, among others, that we have special regard for this material as a national treasure and so we cut and polish it accordingly. We are confident that there are no sapphires anywhere in the world that are finished better than the All American Sapphire™
