Make sure you are using relevant hashtags and start using and tagging businesses in your content. Honestly one of the best ways to get connect with smaller to mid-size brands. Second - look up platforms you can join and agencies you can email as someone suggested below. An additional tip is using LinkedIn to find Social Media, PR and influencer contacts. Also many tools "scrape" so using hashtags like #ambassador #ad #sponsored in your content (even if it's not an ad) can help you get scraped. There are no laws against this and I know it sounds awkward but it seems really stupid for brands to "gate" entrance to connections by whether or not you've ever done a deal before IMO.
When reaching out to businesses, you want to have a clear mission for what you do and a clear connection to what the company stands for (in your first paragraph). Personally as a brand I liked a less aggressive approach - someone who just wanted to establish a relationship with us and ask if we can consider them for any programs or campaigns we do with influencers. Also hot tip - as someone who casts regularly, I am more likely to cast people who also do the work of staying in more close relationship with me. People who cast campaigns for brands should be some of your top LinkedIn connects and Instagram connections!
Contact PR companies and marketing companies that work on blogger and influencer outreach. When I started out I literally google pr companies influencer outreach/blogger outreach and emailed every single one of them that was based in my country. I probably did several pages worth and do it every so often. Just ask them you'd like to be put on the database and when you start securing work, start building up a list of consistent ones that provide you regular collaborations and then you can email them every month to ask for work. I also would suggest creating a media kit :)
Hi Cassidy, they are looking for quality of content the level of engagement of the audience and an environment that the brand feels safe to place and ad. Which means consistency of content and style throughout the page so they know what they are getting.
