Bio

Khoo Yih Kai aka Demon is a professional beatboxer with 7 years of experience.

Demon's passion started when he was 13 while in high school. He came across a viral video in YouTube and became intrigued by the person making beats with just his mouth. At that time, beatboxing was not a well known talent and due to it's uniqueness he became attracted to the skill. He then started to teach himself how to master beats through various YouTube videos and since then, the passion was like a fire that never died down.

He is inspired by fellow local beatboxers like ABeatC and Coex, which are both founders and CEO of Beatnation, Malaysia's largest beatboxing crew and community.

Demon has even appeared on television before Astro, Hypp TV and TV3 respectively.

He was then sponsored by a local brand, VoxTribe, after appearing on Hypp TV with one of their caps.

Moreover in the recent, The Freedom Free Beatboxing Championship 2014, held on the 7th December 2014, he manage to bag the Champion title which is his first ever championship title. This event is also the first ever beatboxing event which is funded by JKKN. Also, he was invited to Ready Or Not Battle Vol.1 that organized by Yites Studio to be one of the judge for the beatboxing battle.

Although he has gained so much experience and knowledge, Demon is never settling down in learning and improving himself. He aims to be the best at what he does and will continue to keep pursuing his dream, which is to one day get into the world ranking of beatboxing.
