Delta the Musician
Delta has now taken to focusing her energies on her music. A notable lyricist and rapper, she is yet to lose a cypher. Amongst some of Delta’s first performances include freestyling on popular TV show Jam Alley in 2005 and the Blackberry open mic challenge where she won first place in both contests.
Her music style though highly influenced by the world of Hip Hop, she is versatile bringing in elements of RnB/soul, reggae and dancehall. This versatility has begun to set her apart from many in the industry. She looks to target a large audience because of her versatility, not only appealing to a young market but to Hip Hop lovers across the spectrum. Her tenacity and sheer talent are a winning combination.
Her music has even bridged the divide between local and international music lovers. From having people in Germany enjoying her first single Zaga to being afforded the opportunity to perform at The Weeknd’s Starboy Legend of the fall concert in 2017, she continues to prove that she has exactly what it takes to leave a lasting impression on the industry.

The Dancer
Delta is also well known for her dance repertoire. She has competed on various stages and has choreographed for numerous musicians. Under her belt, she holds two world championship titles after having gone head to head with competitors from all over the world. In 2013, she competed in the UDO World Championship in Glasgow, Scotland where she was named Best Krumper and Best Female Soloist thus taking home first prize. In 2014, Delta went on to be placed first at the World Dance Master competition in Italy. She was placed first for Hip Hop, second for Folkloric dance style and was named the Best Overall Talent.
Locally, Delta has competed in and won top prize at two of the Hip Hop industry’s biggest dance competitions – Masters of Rhythm (2008, 2010) and Strictly Hip Hop (2011 – winner in 5 categories). 2013 saw her win yet another local title as the overall winner of Dance Star South Africa.
Delta is not just a competitive dancer but both a choreographer and dance instructor. Her repertoire includes dancing and choreographing for the Big Brother Africa Hip Hop task in 2014, choreographing the DARE TO LIVE tribute to Michael Jackson, choreographing for the Converse, Nike/Jordan Kiddies Flash Mob and choreographing/performing in music videos for artists such as Heavy K, Black Coffee, Thembi Seete and Morale. She has also performed on the stages at both the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the Confederations Cup in 2009 to name but a few of her achievements.
No stage has ever been too large or too small for Delta to share her talents or to teach others what she has learned along the way.
The Visionary
Delta The Leo has not taken her achievements as her accomplishments alone; she has embraced the fact that without the community from which she hails she may never have received the influences to push for her dreams. Being a philanthropist is not just an idea for her, it is a way of life. Helping those who need it most is something that Delta The Leo holds close to her heart and to this end she established Live.Learn.Inspire Dreamworks. Through this initiative, she has hosted eight successful workshops and talent showcases where she hosted hundreds of Alexandra youth. The workshops entail motivational talks and mentoring, as well as talent showcases where the youth are introduced to people like Delta who are using their talents productively and they too get to show their talents. Delta the Leo aims to continue these workshops and encouraging the youth in different communities to maintain a good education and not to give up on their dreams. She wants to continue inspiring people to be DreamCatchers.
The Creative
Being in such an artist space, it comes as no surprise that Delta The Leo has often been described as a creative strategist. This young woman looks at life and paints it with a brightly coloured brush. She is able to conceptualise and bring to life various campaigns for a multitude of different audiences and end goals. She has helped to conceptualise events, campaigns and shows on various scales.
