DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT:
New Zealand based fashion designer, Karen Walker, has teamed up with BLUNT to create a limited edition umbrella, The Grandmaster. The Grandmaster design is to commemorate the 1930s females in Chess. The Grandmaster comes in two styles - Rich Mahogany and Ebony.
BLUNT was founded on the premise of how umbrellas had become a throwaway commodity mainly due to poor-quality materials and flimsy outdated design. Re-inventing the umbrella, BLUNT never compromises on style, quality or price. Using materials that are resilient and time-tested, BLUNT has re-invented the umbrella for a style and durable lasting.
Karen Walker’s Grandmaster has been created to honor the females of 1930s chess. Before this time, chess was heavily male dominated. Female players started making a significant impact in breaking the male dominant game resulting with women successfully competing with men and changing up the game for future women.
