DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT: On behalf of Tom Foolery, we are inviting select fashion influencers to attend the bi-annual CAAFD NYFW Emerging Designer Showcase, held on February 12 at 9:00PM.
Sponsored by iFashion Network, the showcase will be held at Industria and will feature F/W 2019 pieces from design stars personally selected by the CAAFD. This season, the chosen brands include Tom Foolery, Sania Maskatiya, RC Caylan and Victoria Tisza.
Tom Foolery, a SoCal-based brand by Shannon Ashford, featuring rompers and jumpsuits, all uniquely created to make it easy for wearers to use the restroom, was chosen to open the show. All Tom Foolery pieces are made under fair conditions using plastic bottles collected in Port Au Prince, Haiti. The brand’s goal is to not only create visually appealing garments, but to maintain integrity in the production process. Tom Foolery partners develop environmentally responsible jersey and create thousands of jobs in developing countries with the production process. By making their final products in the United States, Tom Foolery cuts out carbon emissions from international transportation. With the help of our loyal customers, Tom Foolery has repurposed about 1200 plastic bottles!
ABOUT TOM FOOLERY:
Tom Foolery started with the simple idea of creating rompers that allow women to use the ladies room without sitting on a drafty stall and clutching a naked chest. The solution was this: an open, overlapping side seam with a drop-down seat. All Tom Foolery rompers are made locally and under fair conditions. The brand’s goal is to not only create visually appealing garments, but to maintain integrity in the production process. All fabric is made from plastic bottles collected in Haiti.
Tom Foolery partners develop environmentally responsible jersey and create thousands of jobs in developing countries with the production process. By making their final products in the United States, Tom Foolery cuts out carbon emissions from international transportation. As the company grows, Tom Foolery aims to develop their own manufacturing facilities and textile mills. In so doing, giving them complete control over environmental impact. Tom Foolery used jersey in all of their jumpsuits made from 50% cotton and 50% plastic bottles collected in Port Au Prince, Haiti. With the help of our loyal customers, Tom Foolery has repurposed about 1200 plastic bottles.
