I have three children that keep my wife and I very busy. Our oldest is 5 years old and we found ourselves being stretched so far looking after the youngest two that we could not spend much time with her. We developed the terrible habit of giving her the iPad! It was GREAT for a while :) We would get hours of uninterrupted time and she was happy. BUT I am sure you know what happened next! She became addicted to it!
It became more of a hindrance than a help and we began to worry about her ability to entertain herself and learn independently without a screen. So we banned the iPad, began trips to the library and read books with her every day. But this took time that we didn't have.
So that got us thinking.... when she was at the library she loved choosing books, reading them and then putting them back before getting another- but not at home! Could we create a library space at home for her? With a similar way of displaying the books; cover facing out not the spine, at a child's eye level, and with a lip so they could easily put the books back without them falling off. The CLOUDZERO Kids Floating Bookshelf was born!
