Bio

My name is Marcos and I’m the founder of Men Who Brunch.

Before I was a blogger I was a young black boy in the rough neighborhood of Brownsville, NY. I was scared of being gay and it wasn’t till my mid-twenties that I came out of the closet.

Years after I came out I still felt a slight disconnect with the black gay community. Honestly, I did not know much beyond black gay culture except parties and social events. I saw so many blogs and publications for all types of niches but there were(and still is) only a handful of publications tailored to black gay men. Even when black gay men were depicted in the media often times they were sexualized.

And so, in 2017 I decided to create Men Who Brunch, a black gay lifestyle blog.
