Philly. Unconventional work days. Leading into unconventional work nights. Following inspiration and creativity. Once upon a time I worked a million jobs, only having a handful of bosses I felt operated with respect even. Some blatantly awful, others more manipulative and controlling. I tried to make the most of each. I thought the problem was me. Now I see that I want creative space. I want to dress however the hell I want to dress. To be valued for what I bring to the table. To choose my language and behavior without being micromanaged into the kind of robot or caricature of a woman they wanted for the job. I desire freedom to move. Always respect. And I want my friends there. Still not sure what the whole story will be in the end, but I’ve found a way to work that allows me to both be and evolve and there’s no going back. I can’t be shrunk into a person I don’t even recognize. That’s actually not how business has to work. 📸 @jensinkler during a brainstorming session.
